Director of Membership & Marketing

The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused, and results-

driven Director of Membership & Marketing to lead efforts in membership recruitment, retention, and

engagement, while advancing the Chamber’s brand, visibility, and communications strategy. This is a key

leadership role that supports our mission to foster a thriving business community in the Quincy area.


Key Responsibilities:

Membership Development:

 Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain Chamber members.

 Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members.

 Lead onboarding and engagement efforts, including welcome visits and regular check-ins.

 Maintain accurate and updated membership data and prepare membership-related reports.

 Collaborate with volunteers, ambassadors, and staff to enhance the member experience.

 Assist members in personalizing and optimizing membership benefits.

 Oversee and lead the Chamber Ambassador program.

 Oversee and lead the Young Professional program.

 Represent the Chamber at appropriate events, meetings, and programs.

 Attend educational and sector-related seminars, workshops, and conferences.

 Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO


Marketing

 Develop and manage a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with Chamber goals.

 Assist in content creation and management for the website, email campaigns, newsletters, and

social media.

 Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and printed materials.

 Promote Chamber programs, events, and member achievements.

 Creating, editing, and managing social media.


Events & Community Engagement:

 Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of Chamber events, including ribbon cuttings,

networking events, and signature programs.

 Collaborate on sponsorship development and engagement strategies.

 Assist in the sales of Chamber sponsorships and advertising.

 Drive awareness and participation in Chamber initiatives through effective messaging and

outreach.


Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in membership development, sales, marketing, or a related

area.

 Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Exceptional time management and project management skills.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems and basic graphic design or digital

content tools preferred.

 Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

 Adaptability and a teamwork mentality and approach

 Ability to work some evenings and weekends associated with various Chamber events.

 Knowledge of the Quincy-area business community is a plus.
